Penny S. Pritzker
Founder and Chairman
Ms. Pritzker is the founder and Chairman of PSP Capital and its affiliate, Pritzker Realty Group. From June 2013 through January 2017, she served as U.S. Secretary of Commerce in the Obama Administration.
Ms. Pritzker is an entrepreneur, civic leader, and philanthropist, with more than twenty-five years of experience in numerous industries. Ms. Pritzker founded Vi Senior Living (formerly known as Classic Residence by Hyatt), and co-founded The Parking Spot and Artemis Real Estate Partners. Ms. Pritzker is the former chairman of the board of TransUnion and is a past board member of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, Marmon Group, and LaSalle Bank Corporation.
Ms. Pritzker was a member of the board of the Council on Foreign Relations, the board of trustees of Stanford University, the Harvard University Board of Overseers, the Economic Club of Chicago, and Skills for America’s Future. Ms. Pritzker also served on President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness and his Economic Recovery Advisory Board. Ms. Pritzker earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Harvard University and a Juris Doctor and Masters of Business Administration from Stanford University.
John Kevin Poorman
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Poorman is PSP Capital's President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the investment committee. Mr. Poorman is responsible for implementing and overseeing the company's strategic direction. Mr. Poorman is also CEO and General Counsel of Pritzker Realty Group, President of Horton Trust Company, and Executive Chairman of Vi Senior Living (formerly Classic Residence by Hyatt). Mr. Poorman joined Hyatt Hotels in 1988, and from 1988 to 2011, he was employed by and served as an officer, advisor, and director of many companies and businesses owned by interests of the extended Pritzker family, including Pritzker Realty Group, L.P., The Parking Spot, Centergate Residential, Classic Residence by Hyatt, Hawthorn Suites Hotel Company, and other companies. Prior to joining Hyatt Hotels Corporation in 1988, Mr. Poorman was a partner at the Dallas, Texas based law firm of Johnson & Swanson, which he joined after law school graduation in 1977. Mr. Poorman also served as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Loyola University of New Orleans from June 2010 to June 2014 and currently serves as the President and Member of the Board of Directors for The Barack Obama Foundation. Mr. Poorman received his Bachelor of Science (Botany) degree in 1974 and Juris Doctor degree in 1977 from the University of Oklahoma, graduating law school with highest honors.
Ronald D. Wray
Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Wray is PSP Capital’s Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer and a member of the investment committee. Mr. Wray is also President of Pritzker Family Office and is responsible for overall financial investment oversight, treasury, risk management, tax planning & compliance, legal administration and financial reporting. Mr. Wray has been working for the Pritzker Family since 1990 with the exception of four years when he was a Principal at Glencoe Capital, LLC, a private equity firm where he served as Chief Operating Officer and was a member of the investment committee. Mr. Wray earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, summa cum laude, from Northern Illinois University, a Master of Science in Taxation with high distinction from DePaul University and a Juris Doctor from Chicago Kent College of Law. Mr. Wray is a CPA and a member of the Illinois State Bar Association.
Troy Noard is a Managing Director of the Private Investments group of PSP Capital and a member of the investment committee. Previously Mr. Noard spent 13 years and was a partner at Frontenac Company, where he executed acquisitions of, and investments in, private companies in a range of industries. Prior to Frontenac, Mr. Noard worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs.
Mr. Noard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Mr. Noard currently serves as a national Trustee for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and serves on the board of the Cancer Research Foundation.
Michael Oleshansky is a Managing Director in the Private Investments Group of PSP Capital. Previously Mr. Oleshansky was a director at Industrial Opportunity Partners (IOP), where he spent nearly six years leading various facets of investment execution and portfolio management activities as part of an investment strategy targeting manufacturing and distribution companies. Prior to joining IOP, Mr. Oleshansky spent three years with Equity Group Investments, LLC (EGI), a private investment firm owned and led by Samuel Zell. Prior to EGI, Mr. Oleshansky worked as an investment banker in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Merrill Lynch & Co., where he focused on mid- and large-cap industrial companies.
Mr. Oleshansky earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He currently serves on the Finance Advisory Board of the Miami University Farmer School of Business.
Senior Vice President for Global Strategy
Tom Wyler is Senior Vice President for Global Strategy at PSP Capital. Mr. Wyler is responsible for working across PSP deal teams and portfolio companies to identify, develop, and support investment opportunities in markets around the world. Previously, Mr. Wyler served as Counselor to the Secretary and Senior Advisor for International Economics at the U.S. Department of Commerce. In that capacity, Mr. Wyler was the secretary's chief international policy advisor and the architect of Secretary Pritzker's commercial diplomacy strategy. Mr. Wyler was responsible for counseling the secretary on the full range of international economic and foreign policy matters before the Department of Commerce. Mr. Wyler also led the Department’s first-ever Global Economics Team, which was responsible for developing the Department's international strategy and coordinating its vast global capabilities across operating units.
Mr. Wyler was previously an attorney with Debevoise & Plimpton, on the staff of John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign, and an aide to a U.S. Senator. Mr. Wyler is currently a Non-Resident Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania's Perry World House, a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and author of numerous articles and publications. Mr. Wyler received his J.D. with honors from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his M.A. from The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University, both in 2008. Mr. Wyler received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
Angela Damazyn is a Vice President in the Private Investments group of PSP Capital. Prior to joining PSP, Ms. Damazyn spent four years as an investment banking analyst and associate in the Leveraged Finance group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where she was involved in a variety of debt capital raising transactions including leveraged buyouts, corporate to corporate acquisitions and restructurings across multiple industry sectors. Ms. Damazyn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, with a minor in International Studies, from Wake Forest University.
Peter Berghoff is a Senior Associate in the Private Investments group of PSP Capital. Previously, Mr. Berghoff spent two years as an investment banking analyst in the Business Services group at Robert W. Baird & Company, where he was involved in a variety of M&A and equity transactions. Mr. Berghoff earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Accounting from Indiana University.
